Survey
Reflection
I haven't created a student satisfaction survey in awhile, so I incorporated some typical Kirkpatrick Level 1 questions. I went from general questions to specific outcomes listed in the course and back to general. The initial questions tried to gather the learner's overall feeling, impression, or after taste about the course. I'm also trying to figure out which features of the course the student found most helpful as learning tools. And further, I wanted to see if my content delivery was effective in reaching specific course learning outcomes: whether they felt more confident navigating the food scene in Japan or communicating in Japanese. The multiple choice options of agree or disagree continuum is quantifiable. That is, I would be able to graph it out and see results hopefully changing over time for the better. The multiple answers format will specify which tools or features were the most popular/effective. The open-ended questions can fill in gaps in my line of questioning and even help me improve the survey itself if there are repeated issues that students voice. It will affirm what's working and what could be improved.
